Fecal Calprotectin Detection Reagent is a reagent used to detect the concentration of calprotectin in feces. It mainly evaluates the disease activity of patients with inflammatory bowel disease by detecting the content of S100A12 protein (a subtype of S100 protein family) in stool. Calprotectin is a protein widely present in human tissues, and S100A12 is a subtype of its family, which is mainly expressed in immune cells such as monocytes and neutrophils. It plays an important role in the immune inflammatory response, and the increase of its concentration can reflect the degree and activity of inflammation.
